How does the age calculatorwork?
India as a nation is a fusion of traditions where a variety of traditional calendars have been used. Prominent among them include the Saka Samvat, Vikram Samvat, and the Hijri calendar. But, when it comes to official purposes, the Gregorian calendar has been chosen as the one used in India along with other countries throughout the world.

This calculator also makes use of the Gregorian calendar for calculations. The year can be divided in 365 consecutive days using this calendar, except for leap years, which has 366 days. In total, the number of day within a calendar year is divided into 12 months of varying lengths. Each month can have 30 or 31 days however, February has 28 days in a normal calendar year and 29 days in a leap year.
